So far their favorite thing to do is.......

Centers!

I would like to take a moment to introduce the center.

The reading center - A place where they can relax in a bean bag while reading a favorite book.

The writing center - Here they practice their writing skills.

The listening center - If they do not want to read a book, then they can choose to listen to one.

The computer center - These are not internet accessible but we do have several learning games.
The home center - This is the favorite! Here they are able to practice skills for later in life.

The art center - A shelf houses many different choices such as chalk, coloring with markers, crayons, pencils and paint, cutting with different styles of scissors. play dough any many others.

The last center which for some reason I did not get a picture of is the math center. This seems to be the second favorite among the class. There are many types of manipulatives in this center.

Ask your child which one is his/her favorite!

How do I keep them from running over each other to get to their favorite center? Easy! They all have a clip with their number on it. It can be found on the centers sign.

When their name is called, they simply find their number and clip it to the bear tag of their choice.

I teach the class specific subjects but I feel the children learn a lot from each other. Centers allow them to do just that!
