I am a huge fan of calendar time! I believe it is a good way to quickly teach several different concepts each day.
During calendar we talk about the months, days, year, days of the week, weather, seasons, appropriate clothing to wear, graphing, birthdays, teeth lost, money, number of days in school, time, addition and subtraction and counting by ones, twos, fives and tens.
So as you can see we cover many math concepts in a short amount of time. I make my calendar time very interactive so the children love it!
