Dr.Seuss Celebration!

We had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. 

These kids impressed me with their wackiness. 

They were even wacky enough to notice 10 wacky things around the room that morning......excluding each other!

To begin the day, we went to the auditorium to hear a story read by a special guest.

Cat in the Hat read Cat in the Hat.

We went back to the classroom  for some fun Cat in the Hat activities.

Next, we read One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and made a book.

Before we watched the movie Horton Hears a Who, we made these to go along with it.

After the movie, we headed to the gym for some yummy.....

Yep....that's right.... green eggs and ham!

Did your kids like green eggs and ham like Sam I am?

If you teach a poem about pancakes......

 they will want pancakes to go with it!

If you give them a pancake, they will want butter to go with it.

When they remember you have chocolate chips, they will want to throw those in as well!

Bowling Day

 Just a few shots from the day we took the kids bowling. I will spare you with the details but we had a striking good time!

Hello...Hello.....Is anybody still there?

I bet you thought I was never going to post again. My excuse....we have been way to busy in the classroom for me to have time. 

How was that? Good excuse?

I know we are no longer in February, but that is where I last left you so I will try my best to do some catching up......quickly!

Happy Valentines Day!

(only several weeks late!)

We had a fun Valentine's day filled with several activities.

  

We used different sized hearts to make a fish.

We had several special deliveries that day!

We passed out valentine cards.

 

Had a few snacks and played a heart racing game.

It was a fun day filled with love........ewwwww...love.....ewwww!

That is what the class would say if they were reading that sentence.

I keep telling them I am going to video the class saying ewww to the words love, marriage, husband, wife. I am going to show up at every single one of their weddings..........with video tape in hand!
