Miss McCallister was very happy on our 100th day of school!

No....
1.  She did not get a raise!
2. She did not get the day off!
3. The class did not find her a man!
If you guessed she was covered in 100 happy faces, then you would be correct.

The class thought her attire needed to be bedazzled with stickers!

She started out looking like this.....

Give kids a few stickers and they go crazy!!!!!!

Now if the class could just find a man that loves a woman decked out in 100 happy face stickers, their job would be complete :)

100th Day Celebration!

Last Friday, We celebrated 100 days of school........YEAH!  We had tons of activities.

When the kids came to school, they each had a $100 bill sitting on their desk. In their journals, they had to write......If I had $100, I would_________.
Here are a couple of the journals.

 If I had a $100, I would buy a toy.

If I had a $100, I would home (I am pretty sure buy was left out).

After journals, we did our calendar and put up our last bee.

After PE, we ate 100 pieces of snack. Before we could eat though, we had to count them out. I set up stations where each child counted out 10 pieces and then rotated. We had 10 different stations.

We read the book 100th Day Worries

In the book, a girl worries about what 100 things she is going to bring to school.

The night before our 100th day, I sent home  a paper bag. Each child had to fill his/her bag with 100 things. Some chose for the item to be all the same. However, some had the same idea as the girl in our book. They brought 100 different items.

The class had to guess what was in each bag.

Once the item was guessed, each child had the option of sharing. Of course, every child couldn't wait to share!

Here are a few of the items we saw.

100.....99....98....97.....only 96 more activities to share with you.

I think I better take a break and come back tomorrow and share some more.

England

We have been talking about children around the world in Social Studies. We had a special guest come talk to us about England. He brought several items to share with us.
