Surprise from our buddies

Last week, our buddies brought us a little treat.

They had written a poem with his/her buddies name in it.

For most of the class, I don't think the treats made it past lunch!

Field Trip to the Rock Ranch

I have not done a very good job lately with keeping this blog up to date. I have many things to post but not enough time. I am hoping to do better!

Here are some of the pictures from our field trip to The Rock Ranch.

The smell of Fall is in the air

or is that our Jello scented leaves I am smelling?

Stop by our classroom board and see if you smell strawberry or butterscotch.

The class spread glue over cut out shaped leaves and sprinkled them with either strawberry jello mix or butterscotch pudding mix. Once they dried, they were a beautiful fall color.

Our Apple Day!

Last Friday, we declared it as our apple day. Everything we did that day revolved around apples. First, We tried green, red and yellow apples. Me made a graph to determine which one was the class favorite.

Yellow was the winner!

After tasting apples, we made caramel apples with our buddies. Did your child tell you about his/her buddy? We have partnered with the 7th/8th grades this year( we call them buddies). We have many things planned with our buddies this year. Check back later to see who your child has as a buddy this year.

The last thing we did for our apple day was try the applesauce that had been cooking in the crock pot all day. The verdict on the applesauce was not a good one. I hate to report but only 1 said she liked the applesauce. I figured the class did not like it warm or they were tired of apples by the end of the day. I refuse to believe it was my recipe! Smile!!
